Coach Wear has been with the Eureka Hornets Program since 2001.  He has been the Head Varsity and Head Middle School Coach since 2004.  He is a native of Rushville, IL where he earned the status of All Tate in both Baseball and Football.  While attending Illinois College, Coach Wear earned Captain status 5 times in both sports as well.  In Baseball, he ended his Career as All Time leader in stolen bases and runs scored, 3rd in triples, 5th in base on balls, and 7th  in Hits All Time.  Coach Wear was selected as the 2000 Athlete Player of the Year award and was inducted into the Illinois College Hall of Fame in both sports in 2009.  

Coach Miller joined the EHS baseball program during the 2007-08 school year. Coach Miller played four years of college baseball at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, TN. While at FHU, Coach Miller was awarded the FHU Baseball Leadership Award, named a 2005 Daktronics-NAIA Baseball All-American Scholar Athlete, named to the TranSouth All-Conference Second Team, and highlighted as a TranSouth Conference Pitcher of the Week. Coach Miller is currently number three on the list of Career Victories and number four on the list of Career ERA at FHU. Coach Miller graduated from FHU in 2005, married Mrs. Andrea Miller, and moved back to Central Illinois.
